The HIPAA Privacy Rule

The Rule requires appropriate safeguards to protect the privacy of protected health information and sets limits and conditions on the uses and disclosures that may be made of such information without an individual’s authorization. ZOIA SCIENCES, and all affiliates, comply with all HIPPA privacy requirements and will not sell, release or otherwise use any protected health information obtained in the processing of customer testing procedures without authorization.

 

CLIA Certification

The Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA) establish quality standards for all laboratory testing to ensure the accuracy, reliability and timeliness of patient test results regardless of where the test was performed. A laboratory is defined as any facility that performs laboratory testing on specimens derived from humans for the purpose of providing information for the diagnosis, prevention, treatment of disease, or impairment of, or assessment of health.

All laboratories selected by ZOIA SCIENCES are CLIA certified by the state in which it is located.
